A Guide to Maintaining Your BabbleRoo Diaper Backpack

There are honestly so many things to love about our BabbleRoo diaper backpacks. They’re durable, spacious, and perfect for any occasion. We also adore how it comes with so many dedicated pockets for different kinds of essentials, and how it comes in so many different styles and patterns.

Admiring and using your BabbleRoo diaper backpack is one thing, but maintaining it for the years to come is a whole other subject. If you’re looking for ways to ensure your bag’s BabbleRoo glory, here’s a handy guide to maintain and clean your diaper backpack.

1. Regular cleaning

Although our BabbleRoo diaper bags are waterproof, it doesn’t mean it’s immune to all kinds of spills and messes. Clean your bag from time to time and wash it according to the care instructions. But if you don’t want to wash your bag right now, you can wipe down the exterior with a damp cloth or baby-safe disinfectant wipes to get rid of stains and dirt. As for the interior, take out all of its contents and shake out any loose debris or crumbs.

2. Protect the bottom

The bottom of your BabbleRoo diaper backpack can get dirty over time, or wear down with use. Consider placing a clean cloth on the ground first if you plan to put your bag down somewhere. If not, you can quickly wipe down the bottom of the bag when you want to pick it back up.

3. Stain management

For fabric strains, use a stain remover or a spot-cleaning method recommended for your BabbleRoo’s backpack material (our current bags are polyester or vegan leather). Always test it on a hidden area first to avoid further damage.

4. Organize your supplies

Regularly organize the contents of your diaper backpack. Remove items you no longer need and replace used or expired items like snacks, diapers, and wipes. Utilize the dedicated diaper bag pockets and consider diaper bag organizers to keep items together in one place so that it’s easier to find and grab items quickly.

5. Check for wear and tear

Inspect your BabbleRoo diaper backpack for any signs of wear and tear like loose stitching, fraying straps, or broken zippers. You can fix these issues with a simple sewing kit or fabric glue that’s dedicated to fixing minor damages.

6. Avoid overloading

Our BabbleRoo backpacks are pretty spacious, but they’re not that spacious. Don’t overstuff your diaper backpack because it can cause strain on zippers, seams, and straps. Only pack the things you need to prevent damage and to ensure it’s comfortable to carry on your shoulders.

7. Store it in a cool and dry place

When you’re not using your BabbleRoo diaper backpack, store it in a dry and cool place to prevent mold or mildew from growing. Keep it away from direct sunlight to prevent fading.

8. Air it out

If your BabbleRoo diaper backpack is starting to smell or develop an odor, air it out and expose it to fresh air. You can also use baking soda or activated charcoal bags to absorb odors.

By following these maintenance tips, you can keep your BabbleRoo diaper backpack clean, organized, and in good condition. Always refer to the care instructions when you need specific guidance to take care of your backpack.
